Seattle. Boeing Aircraft Company. 1941.
Two issues of the 14 pp magazine, 10.5 x 8 inches, in paper wraps. "Published monthly for all Boeing employees." Very slight abrasion to one cover; otherwise, very good condition. These two issues of "Boeing News" are of particular interest as they feature well-illustrated articles on two airplanes of importance to the Allies in World War II--the "DB-7" (known also as the "Havoc, the A-20-A, and to the RAF as the "Boston III." The article features a two-page photo spread of the airplane's assembly line. The second illustrated article features the test flight of the B-17E "Flying Fortress," a new version of the well-known plane. A centerfold illustration pictures the airplane during flight. Other illustrated features provide brief commentary on the Stratoliner and the Stearman Trainer. Two interesting "house" publications with numerous additional articles relating to the Boeing company and its personnel. Item #48033
