Light toning to covers, pinhole separation at fold intersection, 1/8 inch split to one fold end, 4 very slight vertical creases; overall very good condition. Irvin Shope's iconic map of Montana, showing trails including "Lewis and Clark's route West", Lewis's return route and Clark's return route, "Custer's Last March to the Little Big Horn", "Retreat of Chief Joseph's Nez Perces", etc. Pictographs represent animals, historical events, etc. "A Tabloid History of Montana" on verso by Bob Fletcher. Cover illustration is signed and dated in the image 1937 by Irvin Shope (as printed). Item #47745
