Tinted lithograph, image approximately 8 1/2 x 12 inches on sheet size 11 1/2 x 14 3/4 inches. Three tiny binding holes at left edge, two repaired tears to lower margin the longer of which is 1 inch long and reaches to just below the title (it could be matted out); soiling and scattered light foxing to margins with three small foxed spots just outside the image area. Each of the thirteen installments, issued in paper wraps, contained four tinted lithographs printed by the Chicago Lithographing Company. These lithographs represent scarce pre-fire views of the city.
