Portland, OR. Armena Pittmon. No date. Ca 1925.
Wall sized black and white street map, 39 1/2 x 48 inches (neatline) on sheet 42 x 50 inches. Fine condition (never folded). A fascinating map of early twenties Portland with large areas of the further West Hills undeveloped, businesses named along the waterfront, and many streets with names that have now been changed. Where the Oregon Health Sciences University now stands is the site of the County Hospital and U. of O. Medical College. There is no airport shown on Swan Island, where construction on Portland's original airport was started in 1926. At the lower left there is an index to street car numbers and street names (continued on verso). There is also an index to Sub-Divisions on the verso. The address given for Armena Pittmon is 1024 Sandy Blvd. Item #47396
