Fifth Thousand. Booklet, black and white photo illustrations, unpaginated (approximately 36 pages including two fold-out doubles), 7 x 9 inches, (pictorial paper wrappers (softbound). The covers show discoloration and the booklet is marred by a circular stain ½ inch in diameter in the bottom margin affecting nearly half the pages (but not compromising the images). A booklet picturing commercial, residential and civic buildings, mining operations, and various scenic attractions of Cape Breton. The publishers writes: "For investing capitalists and for those who find pleasure in basking in the sunlight amid beauteous natural surroundings, there is no spot on earth more attractive than the Island of Cape Breton." The contents provide a most interesting illustrated record of Cape Breton at the beginning of the 20th century. Item #47026
