3 page introduction (III) plus 40 engravings (including five color) with tissue guards, followed by text section of 162pp with an additional 4 plates, index, 19 1/4 x 14 inches, leather spine and corners with cloth-covered boards (hardbound). Binding in fair to poor condition: 3 1/2 inches of leather loss to head of spine, joints split, overall wear,with a small area at the top left corner of the front board lacking. Interior: front hinge split but still firmly attached; small soiled area to upper edge of gutter on first several sheets; occasional light foxing mainly to tissue guards with plates very clean and bright; there is one single plate with soiling to the lower right (in the text section) overall images are clean and bright, binding tight.
