Yoshii, Seisen (illus).
Kyoto. Honda Unkindo. Meiji 34. 1901.
ONE VOLUME OF A SET OF TWO. 30 color woodblock full page illustrations (2 of which form a vertical two-page illustration), Japanese style paper wrappers with stab binding, handwritten title to front cover, 10 x 7 inches. Cover is very worn with binding thread loose, writing and stamps; two plates have very light pencil notation, two of the Japanese folded sheets have been opened, light soiling mostly in the margins. This copy was obviously used for the design inspiration for which it was intended! This is volume 2 of a 3 volume set (with only one copy listed in OCLC). The designs are exquisite and richly printed. Item #46199
