Covers rubbed, joints cracked at lower spine, front hinge re-enforced with tape, light foxing to endpapers and occasional pages; overall very good, clean condition. Twenty-eight plates in black and white (chiefly lithographs) and twenty plates in color (chiefly chromolithographs). Includes an appendix: Winners of the Great Races; plus additional Practical Treatises on: Cattle, Their Management in Dairy, Field and Stall by John Walker; Pasture Grasses and Forage Plants by Samuel Preston; The Practice of Sheep Farming by Charles Scott; The Diseases of Cattle, Sheep and Pigs by J. I. Lupton. Many of the plates are identified as printed by William Mackenzie. Many of the anatomical plates were rendered by Benjamin Herring. Item #45703
