Adhesive residue at corners of verso from previous matting (barely noticeable from front), faint discoloration in upper image, bright condition. Plate 57 from the second edition of William Curtis's magnum opus "Flora Londinensis" (de Belder #87, Dunthorne #87), enlarged by George Graves and William Jackson Hooker. The wove paper in this edition is whiter than the laid paper in the 18th century edition. The plants are depicted life size, and include most of the British flora.
