Volume IV, No. 11F. Poster, color image on one side, map and black and white illustrations on verso, sheet 35 x 47 inches. Light wear and some short repaired edge tears; overall very good condition. Although the majority of these maps were issued folded, this is the uncommon poster version, NEVER FOLDED. There is a 27 x 25 inch two-color map on one side of Borneo showing elevation with information on the recapture of the island by the Allied forces. A smaller map shows the Pacific Arena; beneath this is a photo illustration of the port area of Balikpapan "scene of extensive oil installations before Jap occupation early in 1942 has been target of recent heavy Allied air and sea blows." On the verso is color image of a woman holding a hammer, "Now...If He Will Just Save Some Money...everything will be OK"; with Victory in Europe accomplished, the American public was starting to look forward to a life after War.
