Booklet, double-sided sheet (10 x 12 1/4 inches) with green-toned and black and white bird's-eye view illustrations folding into inside back cover, 56pp, index, 5 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches, gilt lettered leather(?)-covered stiff card wrappers (softbound). Covers a trifle worn with light soiled spot, 1 inch horizontal split at lower edge of front cover, invisible repair to one fold of the folding map, otherwise very good condition. The foldout maps are entitled "Bird's Eye View City of Seattle and Vicinity 1904" and (on verso) View of Wholesale and Manufacturing District. One page of the booklet is a calendar for 1904. The Directory lists all manner of businesses and at rear is found a Steamboat Time Card, Streetcar Schedule, Railroads and Transportation Lines, and list of Parks, Telegraphy Companies, Churches, Major Buildings, Wharfs, etc. The Bird's Eye View City of Seattle has the following information at lower right: "The above is a reduced reproduction of a section of the new wall map (30 x 43) lithographed in colors published by Seattle Map co..." The Directory is in exceptionally good condition and constitutes an uncommon piece of Seattle ephemera. No copies of this are listed on Worldcat. Item #45529
