Lithograph, image 10 1/2 x 8 inches on sheet 14 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches. Very light soiling to upper image, short tear to top edge well outside image, two small spots of archival tape to upper edge of verso (from previous matting). Overall very good condition. A particularly dramatic caricature of Felix Pyat, a firebrand republican and radical journalist, from the series Les Representans Representes (The Representatives Represented) published in Le Charivari in 1848 and 1849 at the time of the Second Republic. Shown in the 2003 Haggerty Museum of Art (Marquette University) exhibition: Honore Daumier: Political Caricaturist of the Nineteenth Century. Item #44874
