Light toning to edges, some light foxing; overall, very good, clean condition. On thick laid paper. Detailed diagrams showing various methods for fortification by Coehorn, Muller, Vauban, Belidor, etc, some with vignette illustrations and images of the individual structures within the design. Plates 91 through 98 from the New Royal Cyclopedia. Text sheets discuss Fortification, "the art of fortifying a town or other place" with reference to the plates. Item #44858
