Centrefold black and white wood engraving in complete disbound issue of Harper's Weekly May 6, 1865, image 13 1/2 x 20 1/4 inches on sheet size 16 x 22 1/2 inches. Binding holes along centrefold, 1 inch tear to lower left edge (outside image area), a few small foxing spots, 1/4 inch hole to mid lower image; faint damp staining to edges throughout issue (mainly outside image areas), softly toned horizontal crease to center of front cover, otherwise good condition. This issue has extensive coverage and images pertaining to Abraham Lincoln's funeral including: President Lincoln at Home (front page image), Scene at the Death-Bed of President Lincoln, President Lincoln's Funeral Procession in Washington City, President Lincoln's Funeral - Citizens Viewing the Body at the City Hall, New York, etc. Item #44337
