Complete Spring 1950 issue of magazine, profusely illustrated in color and black and white, with many color plates, fabric swatches and samples tipped in (this was the signature mark of Reporter Publications, which also published the beautifully produced "Gentry" magazine), 123pp, 14 1/2 x 11 inches, cover pictorial stiff card wrappers as issued. Covers lightly worn with some faint soiling and short tear to tail of spine; very good condition. "Dedicated to the belief that Fashion begins with the Fabric". Full of fascinating articles and advertising relating to fabric manufacture, design and the fashion industry. Articles include "Florence", "A History of Patterns", "Wool-Shrinkage...A Thing of the Past?", etc. This issue is distinguished by a striking cover by Saul Steinberg. Item #43757
