Ink notation to front cover, some pencil marks and rippling at top of last few pages, otherwise very good condition. November 1921 issue of Stanford University's humor magazine Chaparral identified as the "Big Game Number". Magazine features cartoon images (with photographic heads) of Stanford coach Eugene Van Gent (misspelled "Ghent") and California Golden Bears player Brick Muller and Coach Andy Smith. Also features two football cartoons by Feg Murray, well-known sports illustrator. One is entitled "Higher Mathematics...Signals by OUIJABoard" and the other "Make 'Defeet' for Berkeley". Previous owner's name "Charlie Morrow" written on front cover. Item #43463
