Toning to verso and very edge of sheet from previous framing, couple of tiny foxing spots in upper image area, light soiling to margins, overall very good condition. A magnificent image of the Kakabeka Falls along the Kaministiquia River near Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. This was sketched by the British military officer Henry James Warre on his journey of reconnaisance to the Pacific Northwest in 1845-1846, the time of the boundary line dispute between the United States and England. It was published in Sketches in North America and the Oregon Territory (1848). Item #42727
