22 chromolithographic plates, 4 black and white plates, 19pp + plates, 12 x 9 inches, marbled paper covered boards with leather spine (hardbound). Cover extremities rubbed exposing tips of boards, 3/4 inch area of paper loss to mid left edge of cover. Small stamps and ink inscriptions to front paste-down, title page, contents page and verso of a couple of sheets. The first plate has a couple of areas of ink outlining. There are small (pinhead size) holes at the upper edge of most plates (in margins outside image area), dampstaining to a few pages, some light soiling throughout, occasional short edge tears. However overall the plates are clean and bright. A wonderful collection of beautifully lithographed images of Scandinavian wildlife including seals, bears, foxes, lynxes, bats, rabbits, deer, dolphins, whales, etc. Text in Swedish. Item #42659
