Black and white illustrations, 660+724pp, Index to Engravings for Vol. L, 16 1/4 x 11 3/4 inches, leather spine and corners with cloth-covered boards (hardbound). Cover extremities rubbed, leather spine has deteriorated with pieces missing, front hinges/joints split but still attached and rear boards detached on both volumes. Interior tight and clean with occasional light foxing, missing three leaves (pp 45/46 and 271-274) all croquet related, soft creases to a few pages, a few loose pages. FEATURES: Paris International Exhibition, issues depict the Opening onwards with numerous illustrations (volume two carries on with topic to closing of exhibition).
