Aquatint engraving, handcolored, 12 1/4 x 9 inches on sheet 16 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches. 1/4 inch tear to upper right edge (well outside image area). Clean and bright image. A large exceptionally attractive print of shells, plate 13 from George Perry's "Conchology, or the Natural History of Shells." The use of the tonal engraving process of aquatint together with exquisite handcoloring gives the appearance of an original watercolor. Item #41630
