November, 1888 complete issue of this magazine, 574-624pp, four double-sided single-color lithographic illustrations plus black and white illustrated advertisements, 11 x 8 1/2 inches, paper wrappers as issued. Note: this does not include the "Large supplement in Tints - Montana Central Railroad in Prickly Pear Canyon" that is listed on the front cover (it seems to be the exception when the supplements are still inserted in the issues). Light wear to covers, spotting to edges of first page (illustration of Cosmopolis); overall very good condition. Lithographs picture "Cosmopolis, W.T." with "Saw Mills at Aberdeen, W.T." on verso; "Aberdeen W.T." (recto and verso); "Hoquiam, W.T." with "Montesano, W.T." on verso; "Centralia, W.T." (recto and verso);. Includes articles: The Gray's Harbor Country; Propagating Half-breed Buffaloes; The Second City of Oregon; Albina; Linn County. This seldom seen magazine from the Pacific Northwest evolved from a literary journal in the 1870s into a booster magazine for settlement in the area, and is a rare source for 19th century views of the Pacific Northwest.
