Map, outline handcolor, 17 x 12 inches on sheet 18 3/4 x 12 1/2 inches. Tight left margin; very good, clean condition. An attractive, extremely detailed antique map from the Weekly Dispatch Atlas, drawn and lithographed by Edward Weller. The route of the London & Brighton Railway is shown in five strip maps; at the upper edge of the left strip is London, Newhaven is at the lower right corner of the right-hand strip, Reigate & Guildford, Horsham Branch and Uckfield Branch make up the three strips in the lower right margin. Railways, roads, tracks are marked, along with the names of villages, some buildings, roads, woods etc etc. The scale is half an inch to the mile. Item #41295
