Wood engravings in complete issue of Harper's Weekly April 14, 1888, sheet size 16 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches. Binding holes in margin, repaired tear just entering the Cimarron image (barely visible), one sheet has been clipped, paper loss to right margin of last two sheets. The single page view of Cimarron has 5 vignette images: 1. A Typical Bit of Grazing Country. 2. A Ranch in Cimarron. 3. The Needle, on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. 4. A Cimarron Cow-boy. 5. Through Royal Gorge. The centrefold for this issue is "The United States Artillery School at Fortress Monroe. From a Drawing by R.F. Zogbaum and from Photographs.' The central image is 'Mechanical Manoeuvres' with many small illustrations around the border of the buildings at the school. This issue also has an article on The New Chinese Treaty, which "prohibits immigration, for twenty years, of all Chinese subjects except officials, teachers, students, merchants, or travellers for curiosity or pleasure."
