Map, 17 x 34 1/4 inches on sheet 21 x 36 3/4 inches. Multiple folds as issued, short splits at multiple fold intersections, two splits to fold ends up to 1 inch, left margin unevenly trimmed to within 1/8 inch of neatline, some faint brown spots particularly at center; overall good condition. A General Land Office map published by James Tilton, Surveyor General and lithographed by A. Hoen. This is the first Surveyor General's map of Washington Territory, showing the area from the coast to the Rockies. Only the areas along the Willamette Meridian and the guide Meridian have received any surveying attention. Item #40026
