Chromolithograph, 19 1/2 x 28 inches on sheet 21 1/2 x 29 1/2 inches. Light soiling to margins, multiple edge tears up to 1 inch (outside image area), a few soft creases to margins (also outside image area); chromolithograph itself in very good condition overall; colors rich and bright. Image shows slight glare from photography lights. A traveler in a bottle-green waistcoat is welcomed at an inn. The innkeeper appears to be as obsequious as Monsieur Thenardier from Les Miserables, but the inn itself looks extremely comfortable and nothing like Thenardier's. Accompanied by a small poem from Shetstone. After an original painting by Edgar Bundy (1862-1922). Item #39630
