Black and white advertisements, 2 black and white foldout route maps, advertisement endpapers, 342 pages, indices, 9 1/2 x 6 inches, paper-covered boards with cloth spine (hardbound). Good condition; covers worn with some light dampstain, front hinge cracked, one foldout map has 2 edge tears up to 1 1/2 inches and a few foxing spots, otherwise maps in very good condition, interior tight and clean. There are two folding maps: "Map of the Delaware and Hudson Canal Company's Railroads & Connections" and two maps on one sheet: "Map of the Adirondacks, as Reached By The Delaware and Hudson Canal Companys [sic] Railroad" and "Map of Lake George." Continued from title page: "Containing the Names, Business and P.O. Address of Merchants, Manufacturers, Professional and other Business Men in the Cities and Villages situate [sic] on the line of the D. & H.C. Co.'s R.R. between Albany, Lake George and Lake Champlain, and on Adirondack Railway between Saratoga and North Creek. Also a Classified Business Directory of Patrons Only and an Appendix giving a complete list of Banks, Savings Banks, Newspapers, Insurance Companies, Manufacturing, Gas Light and other Incorporated Companies." Pages 9 to 92 list businesses in Albany; listings continue with long sections for Troy and Saratoga Springs and ending with Whitehall. The final section of the book is a classified list under products, including "California Wine," Veterinary Surgeons, and "Yankee Notions."
