Color pictographic / pictorial bird's eye view map, 18 x 24 inches, folding to pamphlet 9 x 4 inches, black and white illustrations on verso, color cover illustration. The color cover was at one point pinned at the two upper corners which has resulted in tiny pinholes at each fold intersections (scarcely noticeable on the map side, 1 inch split to 2 fold ends, light wear to extremities; overall good clean condition. The bird's eye view style map at centre, titled Handy Guide Map to Southern California's Endless Points of Interest, is surrounded on three sides by a border of illustrations of the area's special features, from Restful Days to Golf to Industry, and then by a border of three strip maps. The left hand map shows the Coast Route Long Beach to Mexico, the right hand side map the Coast Route Long Beach to Morro Bay, and the lower border map Foothill and Valley Blvds. to the Desert. The central map is a striking bird's eye view illustration by George Macdonald, looking inland from the ocean to Long Beach at lower centre, Los Angeles at upper centre and to the mountains beyond.
