Three double-sided pages from Harper's Weekly with views and text of the Centennial. Light fold across centres, light dampstain in centre border of 3 pages, overall good condition. Three pages from August 26, 1876 with text and partial page woodengravings, showing the Canadian Log-House, The Japanese Bazar (and three small figures showing "the Japanese timber splice") and a display of Doulton pottery. An additional full page woodengraving: "The Centennial - Sketches near the Exhibition Grounds - How They Come" shows people arriving on foot, by the wagon load etc. Amongst the ads on one of the pages is a small classified ad "Opium Habit Cured. A Certain and Sure Cure... A trial bottle free." Item #36432
