Stanley, Del. (illus).
Washington, D.C. 1860.
Tinted lithograph, image approx. 6 x 9 inches on sheet 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches. Generally good condition; some foxing in margins and also to upper left corner of image (but it appears MUCH worse on the digital image than it appears on the print itself - it is actually not distracting at all). Plate XXIV from the Report of the United States Pacific Railroad Expedition and Surveys (USPRR) - 47th and 49th Parallels. Lithographed by Sarony, Major & Knapp. These views from the Pacific Railroad survey were printed in 2 or 3 colors and most have a small pinhole at center of the lower border for registration of the colors. This view printed in shades of green and grey. Item #34074
