A handsome and detailed 1939 map of the area around New York City, with attractive decorative border of vignette illustrations including illustrations of historical figures and places of interest such as Columbia University and Montauk Light. Marked on the map are monuments, railroads, ruins, churches, battlefields, noteworthy architecture and other places of interest. There is an inset map of South Jersey at the lower right corner, and two striking color views of New York City buildings and surrounding countryside in the upper corners.
