Gleason, Ray (illus).
No publisher. No date. Ca. late 1930s?
Baby "Record" book in glassine wraps, 9 x 7 inches, 28 pp. Pages begin with "The Arrival" (date and time) and progress through "First Photograph," "Letters and Telegrams, "The Christening" and on to 9 pages of "Baby’s First..." as in "tooth," "steps," etc. Book was initially published with pink-tone covers, but time has faded the front cover to near white, while a soft pink remains on the rear cover. The glassine protective wrap suffers from tears and modest paper loss, but it has done the job of protecting, over the decades. The book has been dated "late 30s," based on the illustration of Mother’s dress, as well as Gleason’s work as an illustrator undertaken in the late 1930s. An uncommon book; overall very good clean condition-certainly an engaging gift. Item #33619
