Striking image of prize poultry, depicted by Harrison Weir who "poured out a lifetime of devotion to English poultry" (Norris, Books on Poultry and Cock-Fighting). Color printing by Leighton Brothers. Leighton was a pupil of George Baxter and became the printer and publisher of the Illustrated London News between 1858 and 1885. Item #30411
