Covers a trifle worn, pastedowns lightly soiled, foxing to front endpaper and half title, otherwise very good clean condition. This Victorian natural history book features a particularly bright gilt illustration of a bouquet of flowers on the front cover and includes 24 attractive hand colored lithographs by Walter Fitch with 4 plants per sheet, each with a facing text page displaying names and page location within book. Contents are arranged according to season: Spring Flowers, Summer Flowers, Autumn Flowers and Fruits, Winter Flowers and Fruits, Glossary and Index.
