Bound full year for 1873 (Volume 6). Profusely illustrated with full page and in text wood engravings, 240pp, folio (16.5 x 11.5"), half leather. Spine and corners very rubbed but gilt decorative design on front cover is still fresh; interior generally very good (light creasing to ffep, neat 1892 inscription, small area of spotting at end of volume affects last few pages). Many fine examples of wood engraving from work by artists such as W. M. Cary ("Bust!", "A Stampede of Wild Horses", "A Bare Chance") and Thomas Moran. This magazine was printed on better quality paper than Harper's Weekly. Item #27231
