Clayton, Philip Vinton (illus).
Philadelphia. Curtis Publishing Co., 03- 1920.
Two sheets from the Ladies' Home Journal with poem "The School of Fish" by Henry Clayton Hopkins, illustrated in color by Philip Vinton Clayton. Advertisements on verso. Faint stain to right margin of one sheet and left margin of other sheet, 2 short (less than 1/4 inch) tears to one margin of each sheet; overall very good clean condition. The author's poem plays on the phrase "school of fish" and imagines a "stern old Lobster, quick and sure, / Who knows the fisherman's every lure" delivering a lecture to a goggle-eyed crowd. Lavishly and charmingly illustrated by Philip Vinton Clayton. Item #55854
