2 color plates, black and white in-text illustrations, 40pp, 7 1/2 x 5 inches, color pictorial label on paper wrappers (softbound). Covers lightly worn and rubbed with some soft edge creases and short edge tears; interior in very good clean condition. Illustrations by Trevor Lloyd accompany Isabel Maud Peacocke's tales, including "The Playmate", "Smiles and Wiles", "De Little Black Coon" (with color plate illustration) and "The Flu in Jungle-land". "First Book" is printed on the upper right of the cover label; the inside back cover has details of two other "charming booklets" by Isabel Maud Peacocke: "Picaninnies" and "Bonny Books of Humorous Verse" (in two volumes).
