6 chromolithographic plates, 144pp, 9 x 7 1/2 inches, gilt decorative cloth-covered boards with color pictorial label (hardbound). Cover extremities rubbed with tips of boards exposed at corners, head and tail of spine frayed, light soiling to back cover, front hinge cracked but still attached, offsetting to text pages (plates not affected), a well loved volume with scattered soiling and occasional tears, plates in good condition. This antique book features brightly colored illustrations to accompany the tale of a rich boy and a poor boy told in single syllables by Mary Godolphin.
