Hand-colored lithograph, 11 x 14 inches in original glassed frame with outer dimensions of 19 x 16 inches. Faint scattered foxing in outer margins, main image clean and bright. Frame has been painted with gold paint, has some light wear. A particularly charming image of the bust of a young girl with blonde hair, clutching a spray of roses.

Lithograph with handcolor, 9 x 12 1/2 inches on sheet size 12 x 17 inches. Overall toning to paper, small dampstains in outer right and lower margins and in lower right image, light streaking to left margin and upper image (as if the image had been brushed lightly with watercolor), crease at upper margin extended 1 1/2 inches into the image. A dramatic image of the capsized Battle Ship Victoria, an interesting example of Currier and Ives' prints documenting current news events. Title continues, "By this awful disaster the Vice Admiral and over Four Hundred Officers, Engineers, Sailors, and Marines perished".
